Hidden inside a disused bus station restaurant Au Jardin serves up high end quality fine dining in a French fusion style.

We were greeted by the friendly staff after having some trouble finding the place, it literally is a hidden gem!

After booking our table we were offered the option of dining with a front row seat of the kitchen.

Their menu changes with the seasons to ensure everything is cooked with the freshest ingredients and it is definitely noticable.

A sign of a good restaurant is one that can serve up a dish which you would never choose and then converts you to loving it!

For me this dish was the cabbage, I have never been fan of the vegetable but ‘Interpreting Cabbage’ was the stand out course of the evening in my opinion.

The flavours and textures elevated the humble brassica above every other course, which is no mean feat for a cabbage dodger like myself.

The experience was memorable, unique and delicious, if you are looking for a special place to go in Penang then look no further, it doesn’t get much better than this!
